Dead Center: The Demise of Liberal Internationalism in the United States

Does George W. Bush's presidency mark the demise of the era of liberal internationalism in the United States? According to many analysts, it does not. Strauss Fellow Peter Trubowitz challenges this view and contends instead that the Bush administration's brand of international engagement, far from being an aberration, represents a turning point in the historical trajectory of U.S. foreign policy.
