Unfulfilled Promises and Persistent Obstacles to the Realization of the Rights of Afro-Colombians
The Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice, along with the Strauss Center, sponsored a fact-finding mission to Colombia to study Afro-Colombian human rights issues. The interdisciplinary student delegation, comprised of students from the School of Law, LBJ School of Public Affairs and Latin American Studies, met with member of Afro-Colombian communities, members of non-governmental organizations and government representatives. The mission produced a special report as well as a memorandum for Congress.
