Program Coordinator

Laura Jones serves as the Program Coordinator for the Strauss Center.  Before joining the Strauss Center, Laura worked in media production and project management for Open City Media, LLC, where she consulted with clients on web site content development, communications, events, marketing products and public relations.

Previously, Laura served as Project Coordinator for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in Washington, DC, where she administered the granting and funding procedures for the Television and New Media Programming division.  At CPB, she streamlined the funding process and worked to improve visibility of funding initiatives critical to CPB’s Congressional mandate.

Laura graduated from the University of Texas at Austin's prestigious Radio, Television and Film program, where she studied under award-winning filmmaker Paul Stekler. Laura also holds web development certifications from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture and Technology Program in Information Architecture, HTML and JavaScript.
