AUSTIN, TX--On April 1, Strauss Center Senior Fellow Philip Bobbitt released his new book, Terror and Consent (Knopf, 2008), where he argues that the U.S. has defined the problem of winning the war against terror in a way that makes the situation virtually impossible to resolve. Professor Bobbitt suggests we need to change our ideas about terrorism, war and victory itself.

Philip Bobbitt is one of the nation’s leading constitutional theorists and an expert in constitutional law, international strategy and the history of strategy. He has published six books in addition to Terror and Consent, including the acclaimed Shield of Achilles: War, Peace and the Course of History.
